An Unforgettable Two-Day Trip to Kanthaloor

Our first trip as a group turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. It was a two-day trip held on January 9 and 10, and every moment of the journey was filled with excitement, fun, and togetherness.

We started our journey early in the morning at 7:00 AM from Thrissur. The bus ride itself was full of energy—music, laughter, endless conversations, and the happiness of travelling together for the first time. After having breakfast on the way, we reached our industrial visit destination, Elanadu Milk Factory, around 10:30 AM.

At the factory, we got a clear understanding of the milk processing industry. The visit was informative and helped us connect our classroom knowledge with real-life industrial practices. After completing the industrial visit, we continued our journey towards Idukki and Kanthaloor.

By night, we reached our stay location at Kanthaloor. After freshening up, the girls were allowed to use the swimming pool first. While they were enjoying the pool, the rest of us went to Kanthaloor town, walked around, explored the place, and enjoyed the calm and beautiful night atmosphere. It truly was a wonderful night.

Later, everyone joined the pool, and it became one of the best moments of the trip—full of laughter, fun, and happiness. The climate in Kanthaloor was very cold, which made the experience even more special. Because of the chilly weather, we had a campfire afterward. Sitting around the fire, dancing, singing songs, and vibing together made the night unforgettable. After all the fun, we finally rested and slept peacefully.

The next day began with excitement as we were all ready for trekking. After breakfast, we started the trek, and it turned out to be the highlight of the trip. The Kanthaloor trekking experience was absolutely amazing—something we can never forget. The views, the fresh air, and the sense of achievement made it truly special. Everyone should try trekking in Kanthaloor at least once in their lifetime.

After exploring several beautiful places and enjoying local food, we started our return journey. Tired but happy, we finally reached home at night, carrying unforgettable memories with us.

Overall, this trip was our first trip together, and it was nothing short of amazing. From the bus journey to the industrial visit, from the pool and campfire to the trekking adventure—everything was perfect. This trip will always remain close to our hearts. 💙

The Trek Inside Conolly’s Plot – Teak Plantation at Nilambur

College days are always filled with little adventures, and one such memorable experience was our trip to Conolly’s Plot in Nilambur. The trip was part of our fifth module at MDC, and though it was academic in purpose, it turned out to be far more than just an ordinary study visit. Two of our teachers and eight students, including me, set out together on this short but beautiful journey. The Journey Begins We boarded our college bus up to Pandikkad and from there switched to a private bus that would take us to Nilambur. The ride was a little tiring, and I even felt a bit nauseous along the way. Still, the excitement of visiting the famous teak plantation kept my spirits high. We reached around 11:30 AM. At the entrance, I treated myself to some salted gooseberries – a simple but refreshing snack that instantly lifted my mood. What made the journey even more special was the way our teachers mingled with us. They weren’t just supervisors but felt more like companions, sharing jokes and en...

That’s exactly what I found in Wayanad, Kerala’s enchanting hill station. Tucked away in the misty folds of the Western Ghats, Wayanad is a land where every turn reveals something magical—from ancient caves and cascading waterfalls to vast tea plantations and whispering forests. My trip to Wayanad was an unforgettable journey, a perfect blend of serene relaxation and thrilling adventure. Day 1: Chasing the Clouds at Chembra Peak and the Heart-Shaped Lake My Wayanad adventure began with a trek to the district’s highest point—Chembra Peak. We started early in the morning, breathing in the cool mountain air mixed with the scent of damp earth. The trail wound its way through lush tea plantations and dense forest paths. The highlight of the climb was Hridayasarassu, the heart-shaped lake that sits just below the summit—straight out...
